Minneapolis F1-V8 GP 1983

Check this out..my memory from the F1-V8 race in Minneapolis 1983 is absolutely correct..

Look at all the spectators on the Mississippi banks..!!

There was so many local people coming up to my #8 Burgess/ASPEN boat in the pit with the Swedish flag talking to me about their Swedish heritage.

The sad part..so far I have not found any pictures of my #8 Burgess/ASPEN boat in the Minneapolis race 1983..

Thanks for sending me pictures Mike Cushing.

Ziggy Boettle – OMC memory..

Published by:

I have a great memory when I met Ziggy Boettle at the OMC racing center in Brugge, Belgium 1975. Back then the Swedish Evinrude distributor Huzells made white wooden clogs with the Evinrude logo in blue..see picture.. I did have the right size for Ziggy with me and gave him a pair..

I was laughing so hard when Ziggy tried to walk in his new Evinrude clogs..he just could not walk in them.

I think he took the´m back home and did some practice to walk by himself..😀

This is a fantastic picture / info I just got from a friend of mine.

Thanks a lot my anonymous friend..😃

“This was the first 45SS prototype/mock-up.

Ziggy was the technician on the project, and fabricated this mock-up.

The gearcase was made from wood, by the OMC Engineering pattern shop”
