“Silly Season”…vintern 1997-98.

Göran kämpade också i många mindre klasser innan han till slut lyckades komma till båtarnas F1.

Som alltid är det ekonomin som styr och där gjorde han ett jättejobb på sponsorsidan.

Vet själv att man som Svensk har en nackdel ute i stora världen..

Italienare, Engelsmän, Fransmän och Jänkare har  fördel p.g.a sina stora hemma marknader.

Trots det lyckades Göran mycket bra i F1 världen..

Här finner man alla som hade Båtracing licens 1968..

Från A1-Sven Hermansson till #988 Arne Westerlund.

Självklart finns stora namn som Picko Troberg, Leif Ahlborg, Sven Carrhage, Bengt Blomberg, Kenty Sjöholm, Lars Block samt många många fler..

The F1-V8 Gold Team/Benson & Hedges run by Cees Van Der Velden 1984/85.

Today I asked Carina to try on the race sweater I got from Christer Rosenholtz
last week.
This is the F1-V8 Gold Team/Benson & Hedges run by Cees Van Der Velden 1984/85.
The race program is from the F1-V8 race in Paris 1984.
I raced in the International Travel Card team with Tom Percival there.
I think Carina makes the Gold Team look good..!!..

I maybe need to explain this a little bit better..

I got the Gold Team/Benson&Hedges sweater from Christer Rosenholtz at the Miami Boat Show last week.
He came from Sweden to visit..
Christer´s father Roland was the Officer of the Day at the Stockholm F1-V8 GP
1983 and 1984.
Also the President of the Swedish Power Boat Federation back then.

Cees Van Der Velden gave Roland the sweater at the race 29 years ago.
