There was a lot of boat racing going on in Oskarshamn, Sweden this weekend.
World Championship in Offshore 3, Class A, B and C.

First I like to congratulate the World Champions
William Söderlind & Marcus Grönvall Class A
Hotshot/Evinrude 115H.O.

Veronica Olderin & Kristina Coleman Class B
Twister Cat/ Merc 115XS
I really think Veronica deserve this title after many years of excellent driving.

Mikael Bengtsson & Marie Bengtsson Class C
If I remember right this is Mikaels second World title in Oskarshamn but this time with family on board.

There was also Swedish championship race in the V-150, W-150 and V-300 classes.

Evinrude outboards was used and raced in all the classes above except the 3C class. (Only purpose built race outboards with 15 inch mid sections are used in the 3C)

In class A William Söderlind & Marcus Grönvall was really strong and won all three races with Evinrude 115H.O.

In class B Gustaf Lindén & Lina Thorén did good but not good enough this time. I was pretty sure Thomas & Annika Wrenkler was going to win the title with Evinrude power as they did a few years ago but no luck this year.
Well, they won the last race Saturday and ended up third overall.
Veronica Olderin & Kristina Coleman was outstanding.

Class C is Mercury only. Still good fun racing.

In Class V-150 Ulf Brändström & Magnus Nordgren won Friday driving a brand new boat #122 with Evinrude 150H.O.

In Class W-150 Conny Hertz & Micke Hultin drove #89 Twister Cat/Evinrude 150 H.O. to victory both Friday and Saturday.

Team Kemetyl – Andreas Gustafsson & Stefan Exerman did very good Saturday by driving #134 Nitra/Evinrude 150H.O. to victory.

In my opinion the most interesting win was Marcus Friberg & Anton Skwirut.
Also Team Kemetyl.
The brand new Nitra boat X-27 powered by the new Evinrude 250H.O G2 won the V-300 class both Friday and Saturday ahead of all the Merc in the same class.

This was the first boat race ever for the new Evinrude G2 and two victories in two days is the best possible result.

You can see that production/stock Evinrude outboards won a lot of racing in Oskarshamn.

I really enjoy boat racing and maybe one day the good smart people running the BRP/Evinrude factory will make a descision to start supporting racing to sell more Evinrude outboards.
Trust me..I am doing my best to push this issue..
