More power to Brunswick…!!! the Swedish way..!!

If I was the President and CEO for Brunswick.. one of my top priority’s must be a smart way to replace the loss of Cummins/Mercruiser joint venture..
I should take the corporate jet with the man in charge for the Boat division (Sea Ray/Meridian/Hatteras etc) and the Mercury Marine division.
Head over to Gothenburg, Sweden and make a deal to
purchase the Volvo Penta Marine Division including diesel engines and IPS drives.
Next priority was to fit all the good diesel/IPS stuff Volvo Penta makes in all the bigger boats Brunswick’s boat company builds..
The joint venture deals are never long lasting..and the history tell you the best deal Brunswick has done is buying Mercury from Carl Kiekhaefer and later Sea Ray and Bayliner boats.

Miami Boat Show is next..!!

Leaving early Thursday morning Feb.16 and are staying at the New Casablanca on the Ocean.
This is the classic Hotel where gangsters like Al Capone and his friends where hanging out years ago..
 Hopefully it is more friendly now..!!
We are going to spend a few days in Miami Beach..and looking forward to test drive a CC boat with the new 150 Merc four stroke outboards..

Karlskoga Race, Sweden 1975

I remember this race very well .. blown gear case in one heat..changed my gear case between the heats but was not quite ready in time for the next heat ..
The organizers delayed the start a few minutes..so I made it out to the start.  That made my friend Bosse little upset .. if I remember correctly ..!!
I ended up winning the race..4 heat and three counts.!!
Jepp..That’s me (second picture) checking out the engine..was not sure if it was the power head or year case. I was lucky..it was the gear case..you are not allowed to change power head.
